A bit about Mars
Mars is a chocolate candy bar produced and marketed by Mars, Incorporated. Mars is a candy bar with nougat and caramel, coated with milk chocolate, but without almonds. There are two versions of Mars bar: The original version which originated in the United Kingdom and another version sold in the United States.
Mars was manufactured first in 1932 in Slough, England. This is the original version and it is made of caramel and nougat covered with milk chocolate. The US version of the Mars bar had nougat and toasted almonds coated in milk chocolate.
Later, caramel was added to the recipe. The US version was stopped in 2002, then it continued later in a little different way with a new name “Snickers Almond”.
