Things You’ll Need To Make Carrot Juice With A Blender

Before making carrot juice you will need to arrange some ingredients and tools. These will help to make juice-making tasks easy.

  • Carrot: Buy or pick 2-3 large carrots from your garden. 2-3 carrots are enough to make juice for one person. But for 2 or 3 people, you will need 4-6 or 6-9 carrots.
  • Blender: Having the right blender is very important to crush the carrots properly. So, you should use the best blender for carrot juice to ensure the maximum juices.
  • Peeler: Peeler is usually a kitchen knife with a metal blade that helps remove the skin from vegetables or fruits.
  • Spoon: You will need a spoon to shake the carrot mixer inside the blender. It also helps to press the carrot pulp to get the remaining juice from the peel.
  • Cutting Board: You can easily cut the carrots into small cubes with a knife and a cutting board. It can also be used to peel the carrots properly.
  • Knife: A sharp knife helps you to cut the carrot in different sizes so that the blender crushes the carrot properly.
  • Glass or Pot: To strain the juice or bring out the remaining juice from the carrot’s peel, you will need a container where you can pour the juice.
  • Strainer: The strainer allows you to remove the hard materials or peel them from the carrot’s liquid. It will ensure a clear carrot juice.

How to Make Carrot Juice With a Blender

Once you have arranged all the equipment mentioned above, you can start the juice-making process. For your convenience, below is a step-by-step guideline for preparing carrot juice in a blender.

Wash Your Carrot

First, clean all carrots with a brush if they have soil on the surface before you cut them. After that, wash the carrots properly with fresh water. If you plan to make carrot juice including peel, it will help to prevent contaminating the juice.

Peel The Carrot

If you don’t want to keep the peel on carrots, remove the peel with a peeler. Just peel at the middle of the carrot and press downward toward it. Then, rotate the carrot a bit and peel another stripe. Repeat this process until the bottom of the carrot is peeled.

Cut The Carrot Into Small Pieces

Place the carrots on the cutting board and cut a 1-inch block using a sharp knife. You don’t need to get them exactly the same size; just make sure they are about the same size. This will make the carrot easier to blend together in the blender.

Place Diced Carrots In Blender

Now, put the diced carrots into the blender and cover the lid. Then, blend the carrots until they are chopped finely or meshed. Simply add a little water to the blender if the carrots are too dry. To get the juice maximum diluted, you can add more water.

Taste the Juice

Once the carrots have meshed completely, turn off the blender and taste the juice. If the juice doesn’t seem sweet enough, add a little sugar to the blender. Again, blend the juice in the “liquefy” mode until you get the desired consistency.

Strain the Juice

To extract the leftover juice, press the pulp with a spoon after straining the liquid through a hand strainer. After that, add some ice cubes and enjoy the juice.

What Are The Benefits of Having Carrot Juice?

Carrot juice is extremely nutritious for health. It provides several vitamins, including vitamin A, vitamin C, Pro-Vitamin, and potassium. So, drinking this juice boosts your immunity and improves skin and eye health, among other benefits.

Highly Nutritious

Carrot juice contains fewer calories and carbs but is loaded with different nutrients, including Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, and Potassium. The carotenoid pigments lutein and zeaxanthin in this juice act as antioxidants that fight against unstable molecules in the human body.

Improve Health Eye

Studies found that fruits that contain pro-vitamin A help to lessen the risk of blindness and age-related vision disorders. As carrot juice contains high amounts of pro-vitamin A, it will benefit the eyes. Around 250% of the DV for vitamin A can be found in one cup of carrot juice (250ml).

Boost Immunity

Vitamin A and C in carrot juice work as antioxidants and prevent free radical damage to immune cells. Besides, Vitamin B in this juice helps to optimal immune response. As a result, the human body breaks down fats and increases bile secretion which strengthens the immune system.

Improve Skin Health

Vitamin C in carrot juice produces collagen that contains the most fibrous protein in your body. Collagen usually helps skin to retain its elasticity and strength. Besides, carrot juice contains beta carotene, which protects your skin from ultraviolet rays and improves your appearance.

Promote Liver Health

Due to poor diet, excess weight, or obesity, fat accumulates in the liver, causing nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NFLD). The carotenoid in carrot juice helps to protect your liver from NFLD. In that case, anti-inflammatory carotenoids in carrot juice help prevent and relieve liver fat.

Can I Use Any Type Of Blender For Making Juice?

Yes, any type of blender can be used for making carrot juice. But for the best outcome, you should use a dedicated blender. A high-quality blender will help to blend and mix your ingredients together better than other regular blenders would. Additionally, a regular blender will not have enough strength to blend raw carrots into liquid.

Although carrots contain around 86% water, they have a harder body. So, if you put such carrots into a traditional blender, you will not get the best mesh. Typically, bending carrots properly requires a blender with a power rating of at least 1,000 watts. This type of blender takes only 1 to 2 minutes to blend raw carrots. On the other hand, a blender with less than 1,000W will take around 5 to 6 minutes to make carrot juice.

Besides, carrot juice making can be faster or slower depending on the motor speed. Most blenders have four-speed modes: fast, medium, slow, and pulse. When you use the fast mode, the blending process will be faster. In contrast, the slow mode will take a few more extra minutes to blend the carrots.

How Do You Make Carrot Juice Taste Better?

Carrots are naturally sweet. Mixing with some fruits like apples, oranges, and mango will enhance the taste.

  • To make carrot lemonade, you can add some lemon juice to the carrot juice.
  • Add milk, ginger, and cinnamon to make with the carrot to make Jamaican carrot juice.
  • Serve the juice with some ice cubes to make immediately chilled juice.
  • You can add some honey to increase the sweetness of the juice.
  • Adding different amounts of water to the juice will change the taste, so add water according to your preference.

Conclusion

Hopefully, after reading this context, you can now make carrot juice in your home. Typically, making carrot juice is not a difficult task, especially with a dedicated blender. You will just have to go through the steps discussed above to prepare the juice.

However, before making carrot juice, you will have to ensure some ingredients and tools, including a high-quality blender. And if you want to alter the taste of carrot juice, you can add lemon, honey, mango, milk, or ginger. That way, you can taste the carrot juice in a different way each time.
