Guide to choosing the perfect Homemade food business names
Whenever I’m brainstorming for a business name for one of my many web properties, first thing I ask myself is:
“Do I want my type of business to reflect in the name of the brand or do I want it just generic?”
Before you answer this question for yourself, there are two things to think about:
If you take a generic name (a name that when customers hear it, it doesn’t bring to mind anything about what you do… a name like Mc Donald’s for example, you stand the risk of pursuing new customers because they don’t know what you do.
On the flip side, if you take a name that specifically tells people what you sell, what happens if down the line you decide to change your inventory or add other things to it?
It would be like naming a homemade food business “Ice cream Fever” and you’re selling African dishes along with it (and that sounds terrible).
In my opinion, a safe compromise smack in the middle of these two opposing sides is where your ideal food business name lies.
Slowly scroll down the list of names below and see which one does it for you:

IMPORTANT: Taking your homemade food business online
Now that you probably have your preferred name on lock, it’s important to create an online presence for your food business. To be exact, to get a website for your food business.
And I’m not talking about creating a Social media page. Those are great too but the problem is that when customers are “actively” looking for where to spend their money, Facebook or Instagram doesn’t come to mind.
These platforms are “Discovery” in nature. People just stumble upon an ad or whatever without necessarily looking for it at that time.
Instead, when they want to “find” something to buy, they go out to Google search to do actual searching.
This is because in this day and age of the internet, every business is going online. Your potential customers will typically search first for a business like yours on Google before they physically leave their houses.
If you’re nowhere to be found, you’re losing out on millions of dollars in the long term.
So the next logical step to take once you’ve found a good business name are as follows:
#1. Check if your domain name is available online
Let’s say you chose a name like Freshly Baked. You’d want to get a website name like Freshlybaked.com.
To know if that name is available, all you have to do is head to Bluehost.com . Go to “Domains” on the menu. On that page you’ll see a search bar.
Type in the domain (website) name you want to own and it will tell you whether it is available or if it’s been taken. After you confirm one that hasn’t been taken, move on to the next step.
By the way, Bluehost is offering a 60% price reduction valid till the 3oth of this month only so try to at least get your website domain and hosting bought as soon as you can. Claim 60% off now.
#2. Fill in your details
This step is pretty self explanatory. After all this, if you don’t have an account, you’ll be directed to create one.
#3. Choose your hosting plan
