Tiger Nuts (Called Aya in Hausa)
Sweet potatoes
Ginger(fresh or dried)
Germinated Rice
Water
Instructions
Wash the Tiger nuts first and soak in water for about 2 hours
Wash the Sweet potatoes, rice and ginger, then peel the sweet potatoes and pound with the germinated rice along with the Ginger.
Grind the Tiger nuts separately
Put water in a pot and boil, then add small quantity of water in the Tiger nuts mixture and stir
Pour the boiled water in to the Tiger nuts mixture and stir. Add mixture of grinded sweet potatoes, germinated rice and ginger
Use a sieve to separate the chaff from the Kunu mixture
